What is wallaby?

Wallaby is an experimental technology that Adobe engineers have been working on to enable conversion of FLA animations into HTML5. Wallaby can be used to convert simple ads that run on Flash to also run within a browser leveraging HTML5 and/or creating simple banners and animations to be used on mobile webkit based browsers.

Important Notice: As of 2014 Adobe has integrated the conversion logic right into Flash CC so if you have Flash CC running you can export HTML projects right from within Flash. (Edited: 06/28/14)

Example of Adobe Wallaby

Who should use Wallaby?

Wallaby designed to help Flash Professional users (and our students!, yes!) knowledge to expand there reach into emerging technologies such as mobile banners and html5. It is also meant for designers who want to convert .FLA files to HTML.

This video was created live in front of a live audience of our Elite students. Become one of us, and join us as we learn together about emerging technologies and flash. In our live session we covered many questions regrading how to plan a project and when is a good time to take advantage of this really cool technology.

  • Currently there is no code support only line of code you can use is 'stop();'
  • Masks don't work so don't use them.
